About Tapestry
Tapestry is a intersectional knowledge-generating force for animal activists
Our Vision
Tapestry envisions a world where all life and the earth itself are free from exploitation—a vegan world where anymals, human beings, and the planet are treated with care, dignity, and respect.
Tapestry takes an intersectional approach with an understanding that oppressions are created and maintained by humanity, that all forms of oppression share the same source—a dualistic mindset of othering, marginalization, power-over—and that exploitation can be replaced with a worldview rooted in kinship and caring.
Our Mission
Tapestry is a vanguard knowledge-generating force working on behalf of change-makers: activists, scholars, educators, and students, and in our Animals and Religion Program, spiritual leaders and people of faith.
Through research, Tapestry generates knowledge expose and change the mindset that undergirds all oppressions, sharing this information with change-makers through public speaking, writing, and publishing (books, articles, and websites).
