Teny Gross: Investing in Prevention: Educating Youth About Nonviolence

Teny Gross, executive director for the South Providence-based Institute for the Study & Practice of Nonviolence, and a former street worker in Boston. He applies the principles of nonviolence in a broad variety of “on the ground” venues to help create the foundation for peace. The mission of the Institute for Study and Practice of Nonviolence is to teach by word and example the principles and practices of nonviolence, and to foster a community that addresses potentially violent situations with nonviolent solutions.
