PARTICIPATING STATES
The conference is targeted principally for the Northeastern states of Connecticut, Maine Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. We have registered participants from all those states plus Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Tennessee.
PROGRAM
The program will include NVC training, and speakers discussing social patterns of domination/subordination, socially responsible business, spiritual meditation, education, community mediation & conflict resolution, Dept of Peace student initiative and stress management. We are blessed to have Dot Maver and Lynn McMullen, from The Peace Alliance to speak on vision, fundraising, candidate forums and lobbying. And there will be live music on Saturday night! LODGING
There are three lodges offering rooms that sleep 4 in bunk beds. Each lodge has several bathrooms with showers and meeting space. Once we fill those lodges, additional cabins are available to us that sleep 8 with a bathroom outside of the building. The lodges will be filled on a first come basis. GREEN CONFERENCE
The conference will be a Green Conference, which means we will keep disposables and waste to an absolute minimum. Click here to learn more.
WHERE
The conference will take place at Bement Camp & Conference Center in Charlton Depot, Massachusetts (just west of Worcester on Route 90). See Location and Directions.
WHEN
The conference will take place from Friday, June 2 - Sunday, June 4, 2006. We will begin arriving at 4 p.m. on Friday, and leave by 4 p.m. on Sunday.
COST
The cost for the entire weekend, 2 overnights and 6 meals is $150. A non-refundable deposit of $125 is required no later than April 15, 2006. A special day rate and family rate is available. Contact Lynn Ellis, the Conference Coordinator, at 207-779-7351 or lellis@mainedop.org with any questions.
